Terms of Service

These terms apply when you engage Arif Soomro for finance, accounting, taxation, financial statement, reporting, administrative or HR support. By submitting an enquiry, booking a consultation or instructing us to begin work, you accept these terms.

1. Services provided

We provide remote accounting, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax computation and filing support for individuals, freelancers, startups, businesses, companies and organizations.

Support is offered for the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia only, and is always subject to the applicable requirements of the relevant jurisdiction.

2. What we are, and what we are not

We are a professional finance and accounting practice. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal representation or legal advice. We are not a registered audit firm and we do not issue statutory audit opinions.

Tax filing services are provided as preparation and submission support. Where a filing must be made by a locally registered or licensed agent, you remain responsible for appointing that agent, and our role is limited to preparing and supporting the submission.

3. Engagement and scope

Each engagement begins with a free consultation and a written quote describing the work, the deliverables and the timeline. Work outside that description is treated as a new request and quoted separately.

Services can be arranged on a one-time, monthly, quarterly or ongoing basis.

4. Fees and payment

  • Every service is charged at market value for the jurisdiction and the complexity of the work, and is confirmed in writing in your quote before work begins.
  • Our delivery commitment is simple: We Deliver First. You Pay After. Agreed deliverables are completed and shared with you first, and payment falls due after delivery.
  • Quotes are indicative until scope, volume of transactions and reporting period are confirmed.
  • Government fees, filing fees, penalties and third-party platform charges are not included and remain your responsibility.
  • Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Ongoing work may be paused where invoices remain unpaid.

5. Your responsibilities

Our work is based on the information you supply. We are not responsible for consequences arising from incomplete, inaccurate or late information.

  • Provide complete, accurate and timely records, statements and supporting documents.
  • Notify us promptly of anything that affects your accounts, tax position or filing deadlines.
  • Review deliverables before they are filed or relied upon, and approve them in writing where a submission is involved.
  • Retain your own copies of records as required in your jurisdiction.

6. Deadlines and filings

We will work to the deadlines agreed with you, but statutory deadlines set by HMRC, the IRS and state authorities, the UAE Federal Tax Authority and ZATCA remain your legal obligation. Late-provided information may make a deadline impossible to meet.

7. Confidentiality

All client information is treated as confidential and is used only to deliver the agreed services, except where disclosure is required by law or by a competent authority. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

Deliverables prepared for you become yours once paid for. Our templates, working papers, models and methods remain ours. Website content may not be copied or republished without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, penalties resulting from information you did not provide, or decisions taken by third parties.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

Either party may end an engagement with reasonable written notice. Work completed up to that point remains payable, and we will hand over your records and deliverables.

11. Governing law and disputes

Because services are delivered remotely across several jurisdictions, the governing law for each engagement is the one stated in that engagement's quote or written agreement. Where none is stated, the parties will first seek to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct discussion.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time your engagement begins is the version that applies to it.
